I am an Ofsted registered childminder and a member of the National Childminders Association (NCMA). I enjoy the daily interaction with children of all ages. I am currently studying for my Level 3 Child Development NVQ.
It is now mandatory for all schools and early years providers in Ofsted’s registered settings attended by young children – that is children from birth to the end of the academic year in which a child has their fifth birthday to comply to these requirements within the EYFS framework.
Care is now available and from now on we will be doing at least twice weekly outings. Term time contracts and school holiday contracts only are presently available.
I am now registered for 12 under 8's of which 2 can be under 1. The new purpose built playroom is now passed off and fully operational and I now run a 5-8's room and an 8's and over chill out zone.
I manage the business and work with a fantastic team; Mel (childminder), Mathew (Sophie's fiancé), Paul (husband, cook, washer upper, childminder), Jess (eldest daughter, currently at De Montfort uni doing health studies and is a part time assistant) and Sophie who is training to be a childminder. Oh and Mel's hubby pops in occasionally to entertain us so you can see it doesn't get boring here!!!!!
Paul, Mel and myself are now NVQ 3 qualified on Children, Learning and Development and Sophie is qualified to level 2.

We now operate over 2 sites. Our original site in Helena close is now a baby unit, run by 2 childminders or a childminder and an assistant. We have a maximum of 6 babies in any one day.
Once the children start attending nursery, they start attending our other premises 36 Webb Street, Nuneaton, CV10. 8JQ.
These premises are run by my husband Paul and my son Jon, both registered childminders and we run an after school club with an additional assistant.
We pick up and collect from Stockingford Nursery, Infant and Middle School, Glendale Infant and Croft Middle, St Pauls Primary, Our Lady's Nursery and Infant School and St Josephs Middle School.
